Review: Sugar and Spice

By Samantha Seneviratne

Seneviratne is a trained pastry chef.  She tells us how she would make desserts and share with her brother.  It was a special moment for both of them.  As we learn, he passes away, but I think her brother would be so proud of her if he could see her now.  This is a delightful book.  Seneviratne’s passion for baking is seen through each page as she shares recipes that are light on sugar and the emphasis placed on spice.  The recipes are easy to follow, and any hard-to-find ingredients, she shares a suitable substitute.  Sharing fresh take on exotic recipes and making them a delightful addition to your home.

I really enjoy this cookbook and plan to bake more frequently from it.
