Spicy Apple Cider Pork Chops

Spice Rub
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 1/2 cups Apple cider

Mix the rub ingredients together.

Gently press them into both sides of 4 pork chops. Set aside.

In a small pot, add the glaze ingredients. Heat gently until the sugar and mustard dissolve.

Then in a large skilled, heat on medium high heat. Add a tablespoon olive oil. Sear the pork chops 4 minutes a side.

Pour the apple cider sauce into the skillet and continue to cook 8 minutes a side.
