2 cups all-Purpose flour
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 stick unsalted butter, cold and chopped
1 egg, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
1 package cinnamon chips
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In a mixer, mix on low the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and cinnamon.
In a separate bowl, beat the egg, vanilla and milk.
Add the butter to the dry ingredients, until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Add the cinnamon chips to the dry ingredients. Mix thoroughly.
Add the wet ingredients, and mix until they just come together.
Knead a couple of times, and then roll out. Using a round cutter, make 16 scones.
Bake 20 minutes.
