Cranberry Sauce with Grand Marnier

12 oz. fresh cranberries
4 c. sugar
1/2 c. Grand Marnier (or another orange liqueur)
1 cup walnuts, chopped
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Stir ingredients together. Place in the oven for 1 hour. Stir contents occasionally during cooking.

Allow to cool, and mix in the nuts.

Tastes best when it has had time to sit, for example, 2 weeks. The longer it sits, the stronger the flavours.

Store in a refrigerator indefinitely.

  1. Oh my, that sounds good! Have you ever made mulled wine? I have a spice mix that has a recipe for mulled wine on the back…it’s a spice mix of lemon, cinnamon, orange…etc…and you mix it with burgundy wine and apple juice..just curious about it. For some reason this cranberry dish reminded me of it! ha! I wouldn’t mind trying this cranberry sauce recipes with the Grand Marinier.
